What is a chemical peel?
Chemical peels are meant to give the upper layers of skin a controlled exfoliation that will help to speed up cellular turnover helping damaged skin cells slough off to allow new, radiant, fresh skin to come out and show itself off.
Who is a candidate for our chemical peels?

Everyone! We have a peel for all skin tones, skin types and most importantly skin concerns.
We believe in Progressive not Aggressive- What this means for your skin is that we want to give you a little bit deeper exfoliation that isn't going to keep you hiding indoors for two weeks or worrying about that event you have next weekend. We want to gradually build your skin up to our higher percentage peels, rather than hit your skin all at once, and not giving the "snake skin" shed that most people associate with a chemical treatment.

Since our peels are meant to treat a range of concerns we have a variety of different peels with ingredients to help with specific concerns. We love takin the steps to preventing aging, treating premature aging, acne or breakout prone skin or acne scarring, sun damage (hyperpigmentation), uneven skin tone, texture, dull skin, dry skin, and skin that just needs a beautiful reset.
These treatments won't leave bright red, you can go on with your everyday life with very minimal flaking. We will go over how to take care of your skin, and give you a post-procedure kit to take special care of your skin for the week following your treatment
With the safe and effective use of Lactic Acid, Trichloroacetic acid (TCA), Kojic Acid, Salicylic Acid, 4% Pure Retinol were addressing concerns including lines and wrinkles, hyperpigmentation, uneven skin tone, acne prone skin, acne scarring, dry, dull skin. Dermaplaning
What is Dermaplaning?

When we wash and scrub at home, we may only be getting some of the dirt off our skin while a damaged, dead top layer still remain. That’s where dermaplaning comes in.
Dermaplaning is a skin resurfacing technique that takes exfoliation to the next level while removing that damaged top layer full of dead skin cells. It’s not just helpful on that top layer of skin, It’s very effective at getting rid of that tiny peach fuzz that may be lingering on our skin, no matter how close of a shave we try on our own.
How is dermaplaning done on the face?

A very fine surgical scalpel is used to glide over your skin while removing the dead cells and tiny hair follicles. This creates instant exfoliation and encourages your body to start making new, fresh, and healthy skin cells. Your face is buttery smooth and radiant following a dermaplaning session at Golden Skin Rituals.
Who can recieve this treatment?

Anyone who would like the removal of dull, dry, dead skin cells that naturally build up on the upper layers of the skin. Candidates would want to stop any Retin-A or Retinol 7 days prior to recieving this treatment and 4 weeks after a chemical peel or other type of advanced skin treatment such as IPL or Microneedling.

What should I expect after?
​
You don’t need to plan any downtime to recover from a dermaplaning treatment. You may experience slight redness following your treatment that wont last more than 6-24 hours. Most have no redness after.
​
You may notice that your skin looks brighter immediately after you’re finished with a dermaplaning treatment, but it often takes a few days to appreciate the full results. As any redness subsides, you’ll be able to see the results more clearly in the days afterward.
Results of dermaplaning aren’t permanent. The procedure removes up to three weeks’ worth of dead skin cells. After three weeks to a month, your results will have faded.
After a dermaplaning treatment, you’ll need to be extra careful about sun exposure. Sun damage could reverse the effects of dermaplaning, or create pigment blotches on your freshly uncovered skin cells. In the weeks after a dermaplaning treatment, don’t leave the house without wearing sunscreen on your face.

Microdermabrasion
What is Microdermabrasion?
Microdermabrasion is a minimally invasive procedure, with no downtime used to renew overall skin tone and texture.
The procedure uses a special abrasive diamond tip handpiece that removes the upper layers of dead skin to reveal the new layers of healthy, smooth skin. This procedure allows for deeper product penetration and better makeup application since we're removing the dead skin barrier. This treatment gives the skin, smooth, brightened, glowing new skin feel.
